MARC LEE
TV-Bot 2.0 record
The WWW is saturated by news media. Without differentiation, it conveys photos from webcams, Twitter posts, newspaper headlines and programs from radio and TV stations. No matter which global region or language – the TvBot makes broadcasting areas visible by continuously scanning the net for data streams. Via program code, it forces transmitting sources from all over the world to become visible before our eyes and assembles them into a news event that permanently renews itself.
With the help of Marc Lee's net-based program TvBot 2.0 (2010), a 60-minute video recording is created on a date chosen by the buyer. This film contains a news montage for the chosen time period.
The work, as sold, includes a DVD with the film and a certificate signed by Marc Lee.
